Delivery and returns

Delivery
UK shipping
- Free standard delivery on orders over £75.
- £3.95 flat rate on orders under £75.
- Sent via Royal Mail Tracked, typically arriving 2 to 3 working days after dispatch.
- Orders placed before close are packed and posted the next working day.
Click and collect from the shop
- Free collection from La Vida, 53 Main Street, Cairneyhill.
- Usually ready in 1 business day.
- You'll get an email as soon as your order is ready.
- Collect from the counter during opening hours (Monday to Saturday, 09:30 to 17:30).
Outside the UK
We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. We may expand at a later date. If you're overseas and there's a specific piece you love, give us a ring or drop us a line and we'll let you know the moment international shipping opens up.
Next-day delivery
Not offered at launch. We want to make sure every order leaves the shop packed properly and on time, and that takes priority over a fast-track option for the first few months. If the demand is there, we'll add it.
Returns
Our return window
You have 14 days from receiving your order to return it for a full refund. Items must be unworn, unwashed, with tags attached, and in their original packaging.
Sale items
Sale items are fully refundable to your original payment method, same as full-price items. We know a few other independents only offer store credit on sale items; we don't think that's fair and we'd rather trust you.
What we can't accept back
- Pierced earrings (hygiene).
- Swimwear and underwear (hygiene).
- Beauty and fragrance (hygiene, once opened or seal broken).
- Personalised or made-to-order gifts.
- Gift cards.
How to return something
- Get in touch first via the Contact page or ring the shop on 01383 880169 so we know to expect your return.
- Package the item securely with its original tags and packaging. Include a copy of your order confirmation in the parcel.
- Post it back to: La Vida, 53 Main Street, Cairneyhill, Dunfermline, Fife, KY12 8QT.
- Or, if it's easier, drop the return in at the shop during opening hours.
Return postage
Standard return postage is at your cost. We recommend using a tracked service; we can't be responsible for returns lost in transit.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll issue a refund to the original payment method within 5 working days. You'll get an email confirmation when the refund is processed.
Faulty or incorrect items
If anything arrives faulty, damaged, or different from what you ordered, email us via the Contact page with photos. We'll send you a free return label and sort out a full refund or replacement straight away.
For manufacturing faults that appear later, you have 6 months from the date of purchase to raise it with us. Please keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your right to a refund under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
